I was traveling solo and jammed packed with sightseeing activities during the day so luxury of the hotel did not matter much. This Mercure Warsaw Grand, Warsaw is modern but the rooms are little small (at least my room was not sure about others). Hotel location is in the center of Warsaw with good and cozy restaurants and clubs in the neighborhood, a short walk to the US Embassy and consulate. fair price for Warsaw. Only 3 blocks from the Tram station and major street. Taxi and public bus station is around the corner.

Stayed there three nights. Check in was quick. Hotel is nice and clean with great service with friendly and helpful staff, reception area is wide open and well decorated. They have a system with a open shower which is bothersome which looks like right onto the bed and the toilet is around the corner. Basic Internet was very slow but did not try their Premium service. Amenities in the room are typical Accor standard.

I did not try the breakfast buffet at the hotel so can’t comment much. but did go around the corner to Monique Bakery and Wine for breakfast which was awesome (Omelets, Egg Salad on a baguette and great coffee) + not so expensive. I made couple of trips to the carefour (Express) which was just down the street to fill up my snack and beer (local) stocks.

Getting back to airport; the taxi in front of the hotel costed me 59 Zt (metered taxi). Airport by Bus # 175 is also available just 4 – 5 mins walk towards the Main street will cost you only 4.50 zt. (I did not try since I had to go to the airport at 4 am in the morning). Based on Service, location and price I would definitely stay there again.
