Exciting Tent Stay In the Sahara Desert

It was Christmas of 2017 when we spent two nights at Sahara Desert Luxury Camp and made memories of a lifetime. You can book your tent in Sahara Desert Luxury Camp from any hotel website, or like us; it could be inclusive to your Eco Desert Morocco package Tour

Location

The desert luxury camp was surrounded by rolling golden red sands dunes of Erg Chebbi with an excellent view of early sunrise and sunset.

Getting There (how to get there)

Getting to this desert camp from Merzouga, the nearest town in Sahara, was adventurous. A camel ride of about 2 hours will take you there, which includes climbing to the tip of a hill relatively higher dune for a better view of the sunset in the Sahara desert. Alternatively, you can get there by a 4×4 from Merzouga town.

Room/Tent

I believe there were 12 luxury tents in the camp, and our tent was excellent, spacious with a modern toilet, wash area, and a shower. It was winter in Erg Chebbi area of the Sahara desert, so it was challenging to stay in a tent over night. Especially since it gets very windy at dusk and freezing at night. Tents were equipped with modern furniture and multiple comforters and blankets, as there was no heating inside the tent. The electricity was generated from solar power, so that was not a problem at all so was the hot water. The tents were well-insulated to keep you warm inside.

Hotel Staff

The staff were accommodating and will provide you with all the services you may need with a friendly attitude. The food was excellent. I have attached a few pictures for reference. There is no better place to watch the stars at night than from the desert, we enjoyed it.

Review

We enjoyed our stay at Sahara Desert Luxury Camp and absolutely recommended this place for its friendly environment, personalized service, and luxurious test experience in the Sahara desert. As excellent, I have attached a few pictures for reference. There is no better place to watch the stars at night than from the desert, we enjoyed it.

At night we saw countless starts and milky ways from our tent.

What I liked

Imagine how exciting it was to discover the countless stars and milky ways from desert tents? But it did definitely remind me of my all-time favorite song ‘A horse with no name’ by America.

I liked going to a local butcher shop and bringing some fresh meat (beef, goat/lamb, Camel meat) to our tent. So lovely of the camp chef to marinate them with local spices and have them grilled with a wood fire just for us (all-you-can-eat style). Un-debatably the best thing on earth, nothing could match the taste of the delicious grilled meat with a few glasses of local red wine.

The meat we bought was cooked only for us – delicious!!
